Harder-to-find coordinating set of Hawaiian or Polynesian water bearers, iconic chartreuse glaze figures by Gonder Ceramic Arts from 1950.
Signed on bases, hula girl and her male companion are approx 13" tall, & display so well together with a few imperfections that don't detract.
He is extremely difficult to find.
Missing one gourd, overall crazing, chip on one of his fingers, light hairline shown on his thigh in last photo.
Original price labels still attached & we did not attempt to remove; a few flea bites.
Dusty from storage for decades; easy to wipe clean if we missed a few spots, glaze is glossy and so very pretty.
